Class schedule

Fall Term. (September-December, 2024)

[M.2] Machine Learning Projects I (Wednesday, 5:00 pm-6:00 pm)

Anyone can do data science! Our on-demand courses will show you how. After only a few hours of in-class training, you will understand key machine learning algorithms and be able to apply them to a wide range of problems. At this class, students will go through the whole project life cycle from problem statements to the final presentation to get ready for the 2024/2025 Middle School and High Science Fair Season.

Fall Term. (September-December, 2023)

[P.1] Python for Machine Learning 101 (Wednesday, 5:00 pm-6:00 pm]

Python’s easy-to-read syntax makes it a great programming language to start coding for middle school students. Plus, it’s one of the most popular languages for developers. Students practice coding fundamentals through Python that they’ll use as they learn basics of the Artificial Intelligence.

Spring Term. (April-June , 2023)

[P.3] Algorithm Theory for Machine Learning (Thursday, 4:30pm-5:30pm]

In an ever-increasing technical world, our young minds are diving deeper into the inner workings of computers, how to write rules/codes,program, and solve various problems. Algorithm theory is a strategic tool where participants create and solve algorithmic problems in a competitive environment. Kids begin with the basics of problem-solving, followed by more complex algorithms used in machine learning. At this class, students will go through the whole project life cycle from problem statements to the final presentation.

[M.2] Machine Learning Projects with Orange Data Mining (Wednesday, 5pm-6pm)

Anyone can do data science! Our on-demand courses will show you how. After only a few hours of in-class training, you will understand key machine learning algorithms and be able to apply them to a wide range of problems. No coding, no math – just visualizations and interactive data exploration! At this class, students will go through the whole project life cycle from problem statements to the final presentation to get ready for the 2023/2024 Middle School and High Science Fair Season.

Winter/Spring Term. (January - March , 2023)

[M.1] Machine Learning without coding (grades 6-12, Wednesday 5pm-6pm)

Anyone can do data science! After completion of this course students will understand key machine learning algorithms and be able to apply them to a wide range of problems. No coding, no math – just visualizations and interactive data exploration! No prior knowledge of coding or advanced math is required. The course will be hands-on, we will work on examples and do case studies.

[P.1] Python for Machine Learning 101 (grades 6-12, Thursday 6pm-7pm)

Machine learning (also known as ML) is one of the building blocks of AI, or artificial intelligence. AI is based on the idea that computers can learn on their own, with your help. In this course we will cover Python fundamentals (variables, loops, conditional statements, lists and dictionaries) as well as popular libraries used in data science: numpy, pandas, sklearn.

[P.2] Advanced Python for Machine Learning (grades 6-12, Thursday 4:30pm-5:30pm)

Students of this course will develop new advanced skills, as well as learn how large companies like Google, Amazon and Facebook leverage AI and Machine Learning. Covering hot topics like image recognition and predictive modeling, this course will equip young learners with key Machine Learning knowledge and skills upon completion.
